How to raise a complaint about Bulava, content on it or your personal data, who handles it, how quickly we respond, and where to go next.

Our commitment

We want every complaint to be heard and settled quickly and fairly. This page sets out our grievance redressal mechanism under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What to include

  • Your name and how we can reach you.
  • What your complaint is about: the Service, a payment, content on Bulava, or your personal data.
  • For content: a link to it, or the event's name, and why you are reporting it.
  • For a payment: the Razorpay payment ID, which starts with "pay_".
  • Any documents that help us understand the problem.

How quickly we respond

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours, with a reference number.
  • We resolve complaints within 15 days, and tell you the outcome and the reasons for it.
  • Requests to remove content that breaks our acceptable use rules are resolved within 72 hours.
  • Content that shows a person's private areas, shows them in full or partial nudity or in a sexual act, or impersonates them in such a form, including morphed images, is removed or disabled within 24 hours of the complaint.
  • Requests to use your rights over your personal data are answered within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied

You can take your complaint further:

  • About content decisions: appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of our decision, at gac.gov.in.
  • As a consumer: contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915 or 1800-11-4000, or at consumerhelpline.gov.in, or file a complaint with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission through edaakhil.nic.in.
  • About your personal data: complain to the Data Protection Board of India, as provided under the DPDP Act.
